The Perfect Family Beach Day from Myrtle Mist

With the beach one block away and a backyard built for fun, you barely need the car. Here's how a lot of our families spend their days.
Morning: down to the sand
Load up the beach wagon with chairs and toys. Both are at the house. Then walk the 300 steps to the beach. Mornings are the calmest time for little ones to splash and dig.
"Quick walk to the beach and equipped with everything you would need for the beach." (Chelsea, Airbnb)
Midday: rinse and swim
Come back for lunch, rinse off at the outdoor shower, and jump straight into the pool.
"…outdoor shower to hose off and jump right into the pool was our favorite part!" (Aaron, Airbnb)
There are plenty of pool toys and floats, and a covered patio with an outdoor TV for the grown-ups.

Afternoon: mini golf and the game room
When the kids need a break from the sun:
- Play the mini golf course in the backyard.
- Head to the game room for billiards, air hockey, foosball and the arcade.
- Grab a controller in the TV room: a 75" screen, an Xbox and 4 controllers.

Evening: out or in
- Go out: Barefoot Landing is about 6 minutes away, with restaurants and shops on the water.
- Stay in: fire up the BBQ grill, eat at the dining table for 8, then make s'mores at the fire pit.
"My family enjoyed making s'mores over the fire pit!" (Carrie, Airbnb)
