North Myrtle Beach in the Off-Season: Why a Heated Pool Changes Everything

Summer gets all the attention on the Grand Strand, but some of our favorite stays happen between October and April. The beach is quieter, restaurants are easier to get into, and you have more room to spread out.
The catch is that the ocean gets cold. That's where the backyard comes in.
The heated pool and hot tub
Myrtle Mist has a 12x25 private pool with optional heating, plus a commercial-grade hot tub right beside it. On cooler days the heated pool is what makes an off-season trip feel like a beach vacation.
"The highlight of the stay was the heated pool." (Christen, Airbnb, March 2026)
"The hot tub & heated pool was definitely a hit being the weather wasn't that warm during our stay." (Jasmine, Airbnb, March 2025)

Tip: pool heating is optional, so ask us about it when you book.
The beach, without the crowds
The sand is one block away, about 300 steps from the front door. In the off-season it's perfect for long walks, shell hunting and sunrise coffee. The house has beach chairs and a wagon, so it's easy to bring everything down.
